Rescued Cat Transforms Atmosphere At Nursing Care Facility

Mia the kitten was adopted from the Kalamazoo SPCA and “the sweetest thing you ever wanted to meet”. She was brought home to the Tendercare of Westwood, a nursing care facility in Michigan, with the intention of becoming a therapy cat. The care home was going to get a therapy dog but decided on a cat instead. And they’re sure glad they did. Mia has been a huge hit and changed the atmosphere at the facility!

“Mia’s days are spent riding along on the backs of wheelchairs, walking along parallel bars as patients do physical,” MLive Michigan reports.

The curious cat loves to be around people in the therapy room and always goes there when she’s not roaming the halls looking for people to cheer up. I’m so impressed by the effect this cat has had at a care home facility!

You can see her doing her wonderful good work in the video below. Share this sweet video with your family and friends!
