Mama Bear Rushes to Save Her Cub After He Falls Off A Bridge
Tyler Nolan was walking near a railway bridge in Plymouth, Connecticut, when she witnessed a heart-pounding moment between a bear cub and his mother.
Tyler filmed the harrowing scene. In the video, the two bears are crossing the bridge when the cub suddenly loses his footing and falls over the edge into the water below.
If you have trouble viewing the video above, try the version below.
The mama bear panics, not knowing what to do but then bolts down the riverbank to search for her cub. Spotting him caught in the current and being pulled downstream, she rushes to catch him. She pulls the cub to safety but much to Tyler’s dismay the cub falls back into the river.
Thankfully, the mama bear gets hold of her baby again and this time pulls him further up the bank out of harm’s way.
It’s a tremendous relief—not just for the fearless mama bear, but for everyone watching—to see the baby bear finally safe.
