Homeless Dog Longs for Toy in Claw Machine, So Kind Strangers Win Him One

One summer evening in Thailand, a group of friends came across a homeless dog with his eyes fixed on an arcade claw machine. Balancing on his hind legs, the pup gazed longingly at the stuffed toys inside. Touched by the sight, the friends decided to try their luck and win a toy for him.

As 23-year-old Kannika Eabsamrong played, the dog looked on excitedly. After a few attempts, Kannika successfully grabbed a toy and gave it to the very happy street dog, nicknamed Choki. Choki wagged his tail, sniffed the toy, and pawed at it with delight.

Kannika knows Choki, who lives in the neighborhood with his siblings. She and her family regularly feed him and the other dogs and provide flea and tick medication. Her family will continue to care for the dogs as best they can.

Pet lovers offered to donate toys, but Kannika declined, explaining that too many might overwhelm the dogs.
