Mama Dog Left in a Cardboard Box With Her 5 Puppies So Grateful To See Rescuer

Dog Rescue Shelter in Serbia is no stranger to calls about stray dogs but this one was especially heartbreaking. A mama dog and her puppies had been abandoned in a cardboard box beside a building.

The rescue’s founder, Milan, wrote:

“We received a call about an abandoned mama dog left with her five tiny puppies in a cardboard box. She was so skinny, dehydrated, and had no milk to feed her babies… but she never gave up.”

She responded right away to the food and attention Milan gave her. As soon as the doggie family got back to the shelter Milan treated them for internal and external parasites.

“This brave and gentle mama trusted us from the moment we arrived. We treated them for parasites, and began feeding the puppies ourselves to help her. They will receive full veterinary care and a lot of love.”
