Cat Escapes From Vet and Finds His Way Home—3 Miles Away
A cat named George was supposed to be convalescing after surgery at the vet but instead, he decided to check himself out of the hospital early. George not only managed to pop open his cage at SPCA Florida but he scaled the dog fencing outside, despite still having “silly drugs” in his system.
Staff chased after him, hoisting themselves over the fencing, but lost track of George when he darted into the nearby woods.
Bob Beasock, George’s human dad, was worried—but then amazed—when, a few days later, George showed up at home.
Bob pointed out that George had to travel around two lakes, several subdivisions, and a few busy roads to get home.

Now back at home, George is getting spoiled with attention. Bob is relieved that the adventurous feline is back where he belongs.
