Dramatic Rescue Saves Horse Stuck In Frozen Pond

A horse slipped through the ice on a frozen pond and became trapped. But thanks to a group of quick-thinking police officers, the horse was rescued before the situation turned fatal.

Saratoga Springs Police Dispatch received a 911 call and rushed to the scene, finding the horse’s owner holding a rope and struggling to keep the horse above the ice. Officer Kyle Clinton arrived first and immediately jumped into action, working alongside the horse’s owner to pull the animal to safety.

Officers Kris Camarro and Dominic Martuscello soon joined the effort. The rescue was extremely dangerous for both the horse and the people involved because of the icy conditions and freezing temperatures.

Through sheer determination, the officers and the horse’s owner managed to pull the horse out of the pond, saving her life despite the treacherous conditions.

Amazingly, the horse was able to stand up and walk to a nearby barn, where she immediately received veterinary care.
