In January 2008, 22 pit bull terriers, who formerly belonged to Michael Vick and were used in dog fighting, found safe haven at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Southern Utah. After receiving lots of love, compassion and care, these dogs made great strides and some found loving forever homes.
The families that adopted the Vicktory dogs have become friends over the years and supported each other along the way, sharing in each others’ challenges and triumphs. In 2013, 5 years after the dogs were rescued from a horrific life, they had a very special reunion to celebrate their freedom! It’s wonderful to see the dogs so trusting and loving of humans and dogs after everything they went through!
