Coyotes are not a welcome urban predator, but one family in Los Angeles, California was very happy to see the wild animal after reviewing their security camera. That’s because the coyote chased down another urban predator – a car thief.
The man was rifling through the trunk of a car when he appears on frame, looking scared. That’s when the coyote appears on camera, peeking his head from around the back of the car.

The would-be thief takes several steps backward before turning around and running away.

As soon as he saw the shiny eyes, he couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

Cristy Trujillo, the stepdaughter of the owner of the car, posted the video on Facebook and wrote: “This thief was in the process of breaking into my stepdad’s car and out of nowhere comes a coyote to the rescue! Who’s scared now?”
