Damian Thompson was out shopping got the shock of his life when he discovered a sneaky stowaway in his car. The hilarious moment was caught on the dash cam of Jay Fernandez, who was driving into a retail park in a Surrey town in England when he recorded the funny scene.
In the footage, you see Damian carrying some boxes back to his car. He pops the trunk of his car, when out springs a chicken. Yes, a chicken! Damien is absolutely flabbergasted. He’s stunned and laughs when he realizes the bird’s been in his car and he mouths “it’s not mine” to Jay.
What you don’t see in the video is Damien frantically chasing after the chicken for 10 minutes so she wouldn’t get run over on the road. He told the British paper, GetSurrey, that the chicken must have sneaked into his car when he had been visiting a rural farm to buy some chicken food for his own two hens.
He drove for 30 minutes to the shopping centre, unaware of his hiding passenger as the chicken didn’t make a sound.
Damian did manage to catch the runaway chicken that day and took her home to stay with his two chickens until he returned to the her farm home a few days later.
