Police Officer Orders Woman To Sit In Hot Car After She Leaves Her Dog Inside

An Ohio police officer ordered a dog owner to sit inside her hot car as a punishment for leaving her dog unattended in the vehicle.

According to 19 News Cleveland, the woman left her dog inside a her car at a WalMart parking lot with the windows rolled up on April 12, 2015.

A passerby noticed the dog in distress and called police.

When the woman returned to her vehicle, the officer told her to sit in the car with the windows rolled up so she could experience first hand what she put her dog through.

The officer said the woman “looked uncomfortable” after she got out but she and dog were both fine.

The woman was not charged but was advised she could face animal cruelty charges if she was caught doing it again.

What do you think of the officer’s actions? I think it was a sensible way to give the woman a warning she can take to heart!
