Couple’s Beloved Lab Was Dying, So They Took A Special Trip To Spend Quality Time Together

Poh is a 15-year-old Labrador who lives in New York City with his family. He may be 105 in dog years, but he’s “young at heart” and a mind that’s willing. However, is body is going through the natural process of old age and his parents recently found out that he has a couple of very large tumors growing in his abdomen which are inoperable.

After learning the news, his family decided they would escape the cold East Coast weather and go on a road trip to the West Coast to spend quality time with Poh and give him a chance to get his paws wet in the Pacific Ocean!

Poh’s ready for his road trip!

Poh’s nothing but a hound dog!

Time for a stop at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

“I made a friend today. The Buffalo, state animal of Oklahoma.”

Upon arriving on the west side of the USA it was time for take-out. “This is my first time my parents have giving me in-n-out. I’m 15 years old, and I’ve only just begun my life today!”

After getting tired from hiking, Poh dad is there to give him a hand.

They got to visit the iconic Buddha statue at the Peace Park in Sedona, Arizona. “This trip to Sedona has been great for my spirit.”

Poh gets special homemade meals on his trip. “Dinner time! Everyday my mom makes me this twice. My stomach is so sensitive she has to cook it fresh everyday. Fresh ground turkey and rice with a cocktail of supplements – slippery elm, psyllium husk and pectin to stop my stomach from hurting.”

He also gets to sleep in a comfy bed all to himself!

Here they are taking in the Vegas night life.

And the Vegas attractions…the ones dogs are sure to love!

The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is a great place to take a nap!

Hooray for Hollywood!

Poh finally got to take a dip in the Pacific Ocean!

It’s the Space Needle in Seattle! Road trip complete! Time to circle back and head back home.

No matter where Poh’s Big Adventure takes him next, his family will always have these wonderful memories of their time together.
