Crossing Guard Fights Off Woman Trying to Kidnap An 8-Year-Old Girl

She may be tiny at 4’8” but crossing guard, Adrian Young, has the bravery of a superhero. While working at a California school playground, an 8-year-old girl cried out to her for help.

“Please help me, Miss Crossing Guard, please help me,” said the little girl, explaining that the woman trying to take her away was a complete stranger. Young, immediately acted and grabbed hold of the girl.

Although petite in size, Young stood up to the would-be-kidnapper, who was much bigger than her.

“I told her [the girl] to hang on to me as tight as she can. ‘Do not let go’, because both of us are very small and the lady was bigger than me,” Young later said in an interview. Young saved the girl, and the girl’s mother is eternally grateful. Luckily, police later arrested the stranger.

Authorities said of Young when honoring her for her heroism, “Super heroes come in small packages.” Young is most definitely the kind of person you want to watching over your kids when you are not around!
