Circus Lion Feels Grass Beneath His Feet After 13 Years Imprisoned In Cage

Will the lion spent 13 years performing in a traveling circus, imprisoned in a tiny cage where he could barely move. He was finally rescued and went to the animal sanctuary, the Rancho dos Gnomos in Brazil, where cameras filmed the first moments his paws touched the grass after so many years of only touching concrete. Watching him pawing the soil and rolling on the ground makes me so happy! It’s obvious he is very pleased with his new surroundings.

This video was filmed back in 2006 and Will had 5 years of peace at the sanctuary before he passed on.

Share Will’s happy moment with your friends!
