Impatient Dog Berates Owner With Car Horn At Park

When it comes to waiting in the car, this Boxer isn’t all too patient, as visitors to a Vancouver Island park discovered when they heard a horn blaring from the parking lot.

It seems the dog’s owner popped out for a quick errand, and not liking to be left behind, the dog simply expressed his annoyance by putting paw to horn.

The video, posted to Facebook by Elizabeth Herman, shows the dog impatiently waiting for his owner in a vehicle at Beban Park in Nanaimo. As the person filming gets closer, it becomes clear that the dog knows how to honk a horn. His front paw is extended and pressing the horn. But it’s the dog’s expression that really caught the videographer’s attention. “You have to be kidding me,” the man laughs.

Sitting in the driver’s seat with the windows partially open, the dog doesn’t seem to be distressed, but annoyed at being left behind. And who can blame him? They’re at a park after all!

It should be noted this was filmed in November and the weather outside was neither too cold nor too hot with the temperature at 52F/11C, so the dog was in no danger..

Says Herman:

“My husband was leaving the pool and heard a really loud and continuous car horn coming from the parking lot. At first he though there was a person sitting in the front seat of the car leaning on the horn, but as he got closer he realized it was a dog. He started filming and as he got closer he could see the dog’s paw pushing on the horn. He stopped filming and tried to distract the dog to get him to take his paw off the horn, which the dog eventually did.”

What is it about Boxers and car horns? This video reminds me of Fern the Boxer and her impatient horn honking.
