A swan is the latest animal victim of a human taking their need for a selfie to stupid extremes.
A Bulgarian tourist visiting Lake Ohrid in Macedonia was photographed yanking the swan out of the water for a picture, the Macedonian International News Agency reported. A bystander took photos of the woman grabbing the bird by its wing and hauling it out of the water as it struggles to get away. Once she was done she dumped the bird on the ground and returned to her tour bus.

The agency said the swan died after the encounter although the person who captured the horrifying scene on camera told the Huffington Post that the swan swam away.
The swans at Lake Orhid are atypical in that they are not aggressive and are relatively friendly and docile to tourists.
The swan’s possible death comes less than a month after beachgoers killed a small dolphin in their desperation to get a photo with the animal.
Increasingly, it seems that people have completely forgotten how to respect and interact with wild animals.
