You would think after nearly 70 years working, Florence “SeeSee” Rigney would want to retire. But the 90-year-old nurse continues to run circles around her coworkers!
Rigney works at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington and is the oldest working nurse in the United States. She’s been working since 1946 and recently was surprised in the hospital corridors by her coworkers on her 90th birthday. From the looks of the celebration, she’s well loved.
Rigney’s coworkers say she’s still sharp and inspires them all!
As for Rigney she keeps working because she’s passionate about helping people and says nursing is something she’s always wanted to do, ever since she was a young girl.
What an inspirational woman!
