Inspiring Two-Legged Cat Gets Around Like Kangaroo

Roux is an adorable two-legged cat who was adopted by Jackie Deak Akey in Louisiana, after she was surrendered to a shelter when she was just a kitten.

Lil’ Bunny Sue Roux, or Roux for short, was born with a congenital deformity. The animal shelter told Jackie, who is a vet clinic worker, that Roux was given up because she was unable to bury her poop in her litter box.

Jackie’s heart went out to the little Siamese-mix kitten and she brought her home. Since then, she’s documented Roux’s adventures on Instagram. And the cat who is often called “bunny-cat” because of her hopping, has won the hearts of thousands of people, and will win yours too!

Besides her congenital defects, Roux has a bobtail too!

Otherwise Roux’s just like other cats. She likes naps.

And looking out the window to watch what’s going on.

She likes to play with shoelaces.

She likes to talk at dinner time.

Unlike other cats, she has developed a special walk and hops much like a kangaroo.

Coincidentally, Roux hangs out with a rabbit named Kangaroo.

Roux also has her own way of drinking water, T-Rex style.

Because of her condition, Jackie said Roux gets regular check ups and she’ll go to a veterinary orthopedic specialist when she gets older to ensure her back and legs remain healthy.

In the meantime, she’ll do regular cat things. Like scoping out if you have treats.

And enjoying a relaxing nap.

Most of all she’ll charm you with her sweet smile!
