Puerto Rico Rescue Dog Goes Bonkers The First Time He Sees Snow

A Puerto Rican rescue dog couldn’t contain his excitement when he saw snow for the first time.

Having grown up on the streets of Puerto Rico, Yoda, a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, has never experienced winters like the ones they get in Pennsylvania before. So when his human, Heather Bauer, took him outside after a recent snowfall, she wasn’t sure how he would react.

It turns out he freakin’ loves the stuff!

“I thought because he came from such a hot climate he’d be wary when I let them out into the snow but he just went crazy,” Heather told Fox News. “He was so excited. I was throwing snowballs at him and he couldn’t understand why they disappeared when they hit the ground.”

Watch Yoda being absolutely delighted by the snow in the cute video below.

The formerly homeless dog was was rescued by the Love of Satos animal rescue and relocated to Phoenix, Maryland, just prior to Hurricane Maria.

A month later, Heather saw Yoda’s photograph on the Facebook page of Animal Rescue Inc, a Pennsylvania affiliate of Yoda’s rescuers. Since then, Heather says the little dog is loving life in his new home and loves to cuddle all the time. “When I come home he puts his little paws right up on my legs as if to say: ‘Just hug me, Mom,’ she says. “He’s a real lover and a kisser.”
