Renee is a NICU nurse at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. Over the years, she has cared for many premature babies, caring for them as if they were her own. While at work recently, she was asked to sit and watch a video, and what she saw made her cry.
Many of the families who she’s helped over the years appear on the screen thanking her. But she’s even more surprised when the families, including the children who she helped save when they were babies, appear in person to give her a hug.
“I love taking care of these babies,” Renee said, with tears streaming down her face. “I don’t do what I do for any kind of thank you, but it’s a wonderful feeling to be appreciated.”
