Cara Duggan was just looking for a good deal on a NutriBullet for her sick mother. Instead she received an act of kindness from a stranger that made her cry.
Cara’s mother is suffering from stage four oesophageal cancer and she finds it easier to get her nutrients through a juicer. Cara wanted to buy her one, and as Cara could not afford the $200 retail price for a new machine she began searching online for a used one. She found one and explained to the seller why she needed it and arranged to pay for it through PayPal.
After learning of her circumstances, the stranger immediately offered to give her his used juicer for free. They wrote to her saying: “I’m sorry to hear your mum has cancer. Just send me your address I will post it to you and you don’t have to pay for it. I also pray for your mum. And if there is anything I can do for you please let me know.”

Cara protested the seller’s generosity and told him she was more than willing to pay for it. She wrote in response: “Hi! That is so kind but we are honestly willing to pay if you can send us your PayPal address? … Prayers would be greatly appreciated, her cancer is very advanced but we are staying positive and want to give her green juices to help with treatment so we think a Nutribullet would be great! Many thanks, Cara.”
That’s when she got an even bigger surprise in response. She got a text notification from a local store telling her that her order for a brand new Nutribullet was waiting to be picked up. She then received another message from the seller, “It’s paid now please collect it today as I don’t want you and your mum to wait for the Nutribullet.”
And do you know what the stranger did when Cara thanked him profusely? He thanked her. “Don’t say thanks to me. In fact, thanks to you for giving me this opportunity.”
No wonder Cara broke into tears when she picked the juicer up from the store!
