Rescued Cow Is The Only Cow In The World Who Thinks She Is A Dog

This has to be one of the sweetest animal rescue stories I’ve read in a long time. Meet Milkshake.

Milkshake was one of 47 abused and neglected animals rescued by El Dorado County Animal Control in California. The 2-year-old Hereford cow had spent her entire life in complete isolation, locked in a 10 ft by 10 foot enclosure. She went into the care of The Grace Foundation of Northern California to be nursed back to health.

Under Beth DiCaprio’s care, Milkshake blossomed. She experienced grass for the first time, explored the outdoors and met with other animals.

Milkshake quickly bonded with Beth and she also befriended Beth’s terrier mix, Riley.

But because she had not been around other animals when young, the impressionable cow began to behave a lot like her human and canine companions.

She enjoys a good chin scratch, eating with her canine friends and visiting with people inside the homes on the ranch!

The sweet cow follows Beth and Riley everywhere on their daily rounds and goes wherever Beth goes.

It may be a case of confused identity, but Milkshake is well-loved and very happy at her home.
