People usually ignore strangers knocking at their door, especially if it happens early in the morning, but this story may make you think twice about pretending not to be home. This man answered the knock at his front door and he ended up helping a kid needing a hand.
Brian Smith shared his story on Facebook, and his example of being a kind neighbor is going viral.
Recently, a school kid was knocking on doors in Brian’s neighborhood, only to be ignored three times before he knocked on Brian’s door. Brian didn’t know the boy, but he opened the door anyway.
The young boy explained that he had missed his school bus and had no one to take him to school. He said he knocked on three doors only to be ignored. Brian didn’t hesitate to help. He wrote:
“Young kid Banging on the door I wake up Like WTF!! I open it like What up Lil homie (i’ve never seen him Before) … He said I MISSED THE BUS & NO ONE WILL TAKE ME TO SCHOOL IVE KNOCKED ON 3 DOORS…. my response SAY NO MORE FAM… DIDNT EVEN BRUSH MY TEETH just grabbed my keys Slipped on my Foams..
GO GET THAT EDUCATION YOUNG BROTHA!!!! THIS IS WHAT A BIG HOMIE DOES FOR YOUNG BROTHAS..”
