High School Football Player’s Photo With Elderly Veterans Goes Viral

During a high school football game between Parkway High School and Captain Shreve High School, the audience had some very special honored guests. Veterans from World War II and the Korean War were in attendance. The veterans are all residents of Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City. They enjoyed front-row seating at the game and were paid tribute during the halftime.

Many people from law enforcement and the school greeted the vets throughout the night and got their picture taken. But one particular picture has captured people’s hearts and gone viral. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office posted the picture to Facebook and wrote, “When the Parkway football players were returning to the field to start the 2nd half, Chase Hill, #83, sneaked from the pack, bee-lined it to this group, and shook every one of these veteran’s hand. CLASS ACT BY THIS YOUNG MAN!”

Thousands have shared the photo since and given #83 well-deserved praise. Share this story if you also like this young man’s show of respect.
