Family Finds Frozen Kitten Outside In The Snow And Brings Him Back To Life

A kitten found frozen in the snow was brought back to life by a family on Thanksgiving Day. The Bingham family was outside of their cabin at Bear Lake, Utah, playing in the snow when Branden Bingham’s oldest son stumbled over what appeared to be a dead kitten.

The tiny feral white kitten, no more than a few weeks old, was frozen stiff and lying in a foot of snow. Branden’s brother, Justin, scooped up the kitten and ran indoors. Justin has taken veterinary classes at BYU and began performing CPR on the cold, lifeless kitten.

He worked for more than an hour on the little feline and had almost given up hope when the kitten opened his mouth and then his big blue eyes! The whole family was overjoyed – the baby was alive! Throughout the day, the kitten got stronger and eventually had enough energy to eat a whole plate of salmon. He became the family’s Thanksgiving miracle.

The kitten is now named Lazarus and was adopted by one of the Bingham family cousins.
