Faithful Dog Waits Every Day For Her Owner Who Passed Away To Come Home

This story of loyalty and faithful friendship brought tears to my eyes. Wayne Giroux’s loyal dog Spot would meet him after he got off work at his lawnmower shop every day on the same street corner near their home.

When Wayne was killed by a drunk driver in June 2010, Spot did not say “goodbye”. Instead, she continued to wait for him to come home. Every day, for five months after he passed away, she would go to her spot on the quiet country road in Loan Oak, Texas, and look out for him, waiting for him to come by and take her home.

Wayne’s son, Paul Giroux said, “It breaks my heart every time I go over there.” He doesn’t expect Spot will ever leave her vigil. But he lets her be, touched by her devotion and enduring loyalty to his father.

“If you can ever find anything that loves you that much, it’s the most precious gift in the world,” he said. There are many who would agree with him and add there are few who show as much faithful friendship as a dog.

Share this dog’s touching loyalty with your family and friends!
