Paris was found wandering the streets of Karditsa, Greece with a wire wrapped tightly around his neck – so tight that it had created an open wound right down to his trachea. The poor dog was barely able to eat or breathe because of the nasty noose.
Greek Animal Rescue (GAR) and his rescuer, Ermioni, believe he had the wire around his neck since he was a puppy. When he received surgery, his pain was finally relieved and he was soon well enough to eat…and eat! Paris loves food and he soon gained 44 pounds (20 kilos) in a matter of months.
Now that his body has healed, Ermioni and the Greek Animal Rescue are working on his fears and hope to find him a home.
