Dog Helps Ease People’s Pain At Funeral Home

Everyone who arrives at the Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, Michigan is greeted with a smile and a wagging tail. Seger is a chocolate Labrador is there when people are going through a hard time dealing with the loss of a loved one. Seger was supposed to be a service dog for the handicapped, but when he didn’t pass the test, he went to work at the funeral home.

In the video, a mother who lost her 21-year-old daughter, describes how Seger helped reduce the stress of making arrangements and another family describes how Segar’s presence took the edge off the grief they were feeling. Simply his presence is helping ease people’s pain.

Share Seger’s wonderful work with your friends who love animals!
