Clever Great Pyrenees Busts Out Of Animal Hospital

General, a 10-year-old Great Pyrenees had enough of his stay at Aquia-Garrisonville Animal Hospital in Stafford, Virginia and decided to go. The dog was staying at the hospital’s kennel while his family was on vacation. But wanting to break out, he opened his “run door” and then opened the back door to the clinic to escape in the dead of night (4 a.m.).

When staff realized that General was gone, they enlisted animal control and sheriff deputies to search for him. Fortunately, General was found a short distance away taking a nap in someone’s yard!

General was in good spirits after 15 hours on the loose, but his family was very relieved he found safe and sound. They told ABC7 News that General is a “little Houdini” when it comes to opening doors, but even they were impressed by his “jail break”.
