A Police Officer Approaches A Group Of Kids With An Urgent Request That Makes Their Day

Mario Sciorrotta was walking her group of daycare kids near a park when they began excitedly pointing to the policeman driving by. Mario told them to wave to him and that caught his attention as he drove by.

West Des Moines Police Officer Aaron Swenson pulled over and immediately asked them a question. “You want to know something? No one’s pet my dog in a really long time. You guys want to pet him?” he asks. He went to his vehicle and returned with K-9 Aro, who immediately said hello to all the kids. They all loved it, including Aro!

Now that’s what I call community-oriented policing!
