Cat Becomes Becomes Beloved High School Mascot And Even Has His Own Student ID

Meet Bubba the cat! This friendly orange tabby lives in San Jose, California and really likes to go outdoors and explore.

His human, Amber Marienthal, soon discovered that Bubba wasn’t just sniffing the grass outside. Instead, he was going to school. Two schools to be exact.

Bubba regularly visits two local schools and hangs out with the students. He’s become such a fixture that he’s been issued his own student ID card!

Students and faculty at Leland High and Bret Harte Middle were at first confused by the friendly feline. But they now look forward to spotting him in the hallways and classrooms.

Bubba has become so beloved at the schools that students started a petition to get a statue of him made. Leland High declined that proposition, but they did issue the tabby his own student ID card!
