Just when you thought Disneyland couldn’t get any more magical, Pluto, Mickey and Minnie made a boy who is hearing impaired very happy when they began talking with him in sign language. His reaction when he notices them communicating with him says it all!
The boy was on a trip to the park arranged by Olive Crest, a charity dedicated to preserving the family and preventing child abuse.
The caseworker said of the adorable encounter, “Guys, this kid is the most incredible child I’ve ever met. He is mostly deaf, so the ASL translator is behind him, signing to the characters so they can copy her and communicate with the little guy. He is not a big hugger, so that hug for Minnie is something special.”
And his parents noted, “They were signing ‘It’s nice to meet you.’ Once he realized they spoke his language he couldn’t help but hug them!”
