Abandoned Dog Riddled With Cancer Makes Stunning Recovery

The rescue and transformation of Boby is one that tugs on the heartstrings of any animal lover. Boby was rescued in February 2015 in Mexico after he was found wandering the streets in terrible condition.

Not only was the dog malnourished, but he was covered with cancerous tumours and had been abandoned in the streets of Hermosillo, Mexico.

He was saved by Cortesía-Dalia Gámez, an animal rescuer who saw his picture on social media.

Dalia brought Boby to a veterinary clinic where they looked him over. At 2 years old, they thought he had a good chance of surviving and began to give him chemotherapy.

After several treatments over a 2 month period, Boby began to slowly recover, although it wasn’t easy.

Under Dalia’s watchful eye, Boby slowly gained weight and also gained back his health.

The chemotherapy also began working. Dalia could not believe how quickly he healed from the grueling treatment.

Where there was once open wounds all over his body, now there was silky, healthy fur.

He soon regained his energy too. He became a local celebrity, with many of Dalia’s neighbors lining up to see his remarkable transformation.

After Boby recovered, he found a forever home!

He now is surrounded by love and has a happy life. He not only has canine siblings but also a wonderful loving family.
