Rescuers Help Abandoned Dog Who Waited Weeks On Street Corner For Her Owner To Return

Hope for Paws animal rescue was called to a street corner in Los Angeles to help a dog who had been sitting there for weeks, crying for her owner to come back.

They didn’t expect that when they approached her, she would run right up to them, and at the end of the day, Eldad Hagar said it was definitely one of their easiest rescues ever.

They named her Jill and the friendly Greyhound Labrador mix eventually went to Death Row Dogs Rescue LA. However, her rescue story is not over yet. It’s been a year since her rescue, and Jill has been renamed Scarlet but she is still looking for a home and her happy ending!

The rescue is looking for a foster or forever home for her and said, “Scarlet (aka Jill) is a beautiful, sweet, happy, affectionate 2 year old, 50 lb. very playful girl. She likes all people and gets along with other dogs. Scarlet needs to go to a house (not apartment) with an active person and/or another young dog she can play with. She would make a great running partner. She is great in the house and in the car. Scarlet is healthy, house trained, spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped.”

If you are interested in helping Scarlet (aka Jill), contact Death Row Dogs Rescue.

Update: it appears Scarlet has found a forever home!
