Fisherman Overcome With Joy When He Reunites With Dog He Thought Drowned

Two best friends were reunited after their boat capsized off Victoria in Australia. Alfonse Attard, a 75-year-old fisherman was rescued but was grief stricken when he thought he had lost his beloved dog Jack.

When a nearby fishing boat came to rescue Attard and brought him safely to shore, he urged them to search the waters for Jack.

Fortunately, a group of volunteers agreed to help. As they searched, they overturned Attard’s capsized boat—and there, tucked into the front nose, was Jack, alive and hiding.

Attard’s sadness turned to joy when water police towed the boat back to shore a few hours later and found Jack on board alive and well.

News cameras were on the scene when the fisherman is overcome with emotion as he arrives at the docks to pick up his dog.
