Student’s Prayer During Medical Emergency At Graduation Ceremony Goes Viral

A student’s spontaneous, heartfelt prayer during Alabama’s Clay-Chalkville High School’s graduation ceremony is garnering lots of attention.

When a fellow student’s family member became ill during the graduation ceremony a hushed quiet fell over the stadium.

That’s when Christian Crawford approached the mic and offered this heartfelt, spontaneous prayer. As the graduation was being broadcast live, his impromptu prayer was recorded.

Speaking to more than 1,000 people, Crawford was greeted by a roar of applause after leading the nearly 300 graduates, along with the audience, in prayer for the ailing person.

Since the video went viral, Crawford has been asked to deliver the opening prayer at the Alabama Legislature.

A humbled Crawford told the Trussville Tribune, “I’m glad that the video is going crazy right now, but people are saying, ‘You’re famous’. No, God is famous.”
