Couple Opening Gas Station Give Stray Dog A Job And A Home

A stray dog ended up getting a home and full-time employment after hanging around the construction site of a gas station in the town of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil.

Sabrina Plannerer and her partner had purchased the Shell gas station when it was being built and soon noticed a big black dog, who they learned had been abandoned by his owner.

They decided to adopt him and took him to a veterinarian for vaccinations and health check. And when their gas station opened they gave him a job.

He got an official ID badge and a uniform.

Soon, the formerly homeless dog, was winning over customers with his smile.

Plannerer told The Dodo, “Negão waits for people to arrive, and then goes up to say hello, winning them over with his charms,” Plannerer says. “Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys.”

Negão is also regularly taken on walks by all the staff and he’s become a bit of a “spokes dog” for a local animal charity Grupo FERA, which helps stray dogs find living arrangements like Negão’s.

It’s so heartwarming to see that Plannerer and her partner opted to help Negão rather than ignore him. It’s a decision that’s benefitted everyone and certainly made Negão one happy dog!
