Rescued Piglet And Kitten Help Each Other Heal

An unlikely friendship between a newborn kitten and a piglet is helping the orphaned animals heal! Laura the piglet was recently plucked from an industrial meat farm in South America by animal activists and ended up at Santuario Ingualdad Interespecie, an animal sanctuary in Chile.

Marina was found abandoned in the street. She was very sick when she was found. Her eyes were infected and she had little chance of surviving, but luckily a Good Samaritan rescued her and brought her to the sanctuary.

They weren’t sure if Marina would survive, but vowed to take care of her as best they could.

One thing that has helped both orphaned animals immensely is the friendship and love they have found with each other!

Since meeting each other, Laura and Marina are inseparable. “[The] two babies are giving us a lesson of love,” wrote the animal sanctuary.

The group has shared some photos and a video of the adorable pair on Facebook and wrote: “Since her arrival, Laura has been treated with all the love and the care a baby deserves, and has formed a deep friendship with the kitty, Marina, showing by example, that when it comes to relations of friendship and respect, [it does not] matter the species to which one belongs.”
