When rescuers received a call about Millie, they found the stray dog so sick that she couldn’t move. “When we found Millie she was unable to stand, lying collapsed in the rain by the side of the road. She was too sick to get out of the rain and find shelter,” Animal Aid Unlimited, India writes. “We suspected she had an advanced case of pyometra – an infection in her uterus that when untreated can cause septicaemia and ultimately death.”
