Animal rescuer Stefan Brockling noticed a Canada goose with a sharp metal ring wrapped around the bird’s lower beak and knew he had to help. If left on, the ring could cause serious damage to the bird.
Brockling, who lives in Dusseldorf, Germany begins his rescue by throwing some feed on the ground to lure the goose over. When the bird gets close enough he quickly grabs hold of it and wrestles the goose safely to the ground.
Pulling the bird in close, Stefan is able to dislodge the metal ring wound around the bottom half of the bird’s beak, before safely returning the animal to the river behind him.
