Retired Kindergarten Teacher Sends Student A Note Nearly 30 Years Later

Do you remember your kindergarten teacher? Many people do, even as adults. One teacher who made a strong impression on her students was Lorly Schick. Now 90-years-old, Schick still remembers many of her students too. That’s why when she turned on her television recently, she was surprised by who she saw on her screen.

“When I first saw him, I could hardly believe it,” said Schik about a little boy who walked into her classroom nearly 30 years ago, a boy who she recognized as the news anchor on KARE 11 Sunrise in St. Paul, Minnesota. “I can still picture him as a small dark-haired child in his K-desk!”

After recognizing him, Schik took out her pen and paper and wrote him a note. What happened next? Watch the video below for the rest of this heartwarming story and an unexpected reunion between a teacher and student!
