How To Bake Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Just how popular are Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay biscuits? Well, the popular restaurant chain bakes an estimated 395 million of them every year. No wonder people want to copy the recipe! The folks at PopSugar recreated the tasty biscuit in the video below!

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp granulated sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp old bay seasoning
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

For topping:

2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fresh parsley, minced
old bay seasoning to taste

Start by preheating the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix together dry ingredients first! Then mix in the cheddar. In a separate bowl mix the buttermilk and melted butter together. Now mix the wet bowl into the other bowl. Be sure to not over mix. The dough is going to be in chunks and pieces. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop out the dough and form it into balls. If you want it to be even more crunchy, then brush butter on top before baking! Cook them for around 12 minutes.

Once they are out of the oven you can brush them with your own sauce or topping! Your biscuits are now ready to accompany your seafood dinner. I think I’ll have these baked goodies on their own!
