Giant Rabbit Who Is The Size Of A Westie And Still Growing Is Looking For A Home

There’s a giant-sized rabbit who is on the look-out for a new loving home in Scotland. Atlas is is a 7-month-old continental giant rabbit who arrived at the Scottish SPCA centre in Glasgow after he could no longer be taken care of by his former owner.

“Atlas is already about the size of a westie and is still young with some growing to do,” says center manager Anna O’Donnell. Currently Atlas weighs 35 pounds. Continental giant rabbits can grow to around 50 pounds and 4 feet long!

With all that size comes a personality to match. “Atlas is also an inquisitive boy who makes everyone laugh with his mischievous character,” says Anna. “He is a very friendly rabbit who loves attention and getting cuddles.”

*PLEASE NOTE: While it's fantastic that so many people want to offer Atlas a loving home, we will find him one here in…

Because of his size, the humane society wants to make sure he’s well looked after. They’d prefer someone who has experience with the breed and he will need a larger-than-normal rabbit hutch. Take a look at the video below to learn more about Atlas. I’ve never seen a rabbit as large as Atlas!
