A stray cat would most likely have lost his life if he had not happened to have an accident right outside a Turkish hospital.
The white cat was trying to get into the hospital through the revolving doors when he got accidentally caught between a glass panel and the door jamb when a man was leaving the building didn’t notice the cat.
Özel Akgün Tem Hospital
The man stopped right away, but unfortunately the cat was already caught. The cat’s neck was being choked by the door, but he still cried out in pain. His cries drew the attention of hospital staff, including Halil Akyürek, an emergency room doctor who works at Özel Akgün Tem Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.
The cat was having trouble breathing so Akyürek put his hand on the back of the cat’s head and removed him from the door. Once he did, they began to administer CPR.
The doctor began massaging the cat’s heart and the moment was captured on video.
The cat was then rushed inside the hospital to be given oxygen. Akyürek contacted a veterinarian to ask what medicines he needed to administer. After getting the oxygen and medical care, the cat miraculously recovered!
The doctors were all impressed by the cat’s recovery and aptly named him “Miracle”.
Not only did Dr. Akyürek’s quick actions save Miracle, but the good doctor decided to go one step further and give Miracle a home.
