A video of a terminally ill woman saying goodbye to her dog is moving animal lovers around the globe. 49-year-old Brazilian Rebane Chili was in the last stages of cancer when she expressed her wish to see her beloved dog, Ritchie, one last time. The hospital in Porto Alegre went out of their way to grant her dying wish.
In the video, Rebane is greeted eagerly by her dog, who desperately wants to get closer to her. One of the staff help Ritchie get up on the bed so they can give each other hugs and kisses. The hospital staff watching the bittersweet scene soon have tears in their eyes. Although the video was originally posted in 2015, it is going viral again, no doubt because of the tenderness and heartbreak it depicts.
