When Caiden was born, his parents, Mashanda and Michael Lane, noticed something was a little different with him. He didn’t cry and he would stare off into the distance. Originally, he was diagnosed autism, but doctors would later re-diagnose him as having apraxia and aphasia, conditions caused by a stroke that Caiden had while still in the womb and after he was born. Doctors told the Lanes that Caiden would most likely not be able to walk or talk.
On the day they received the new diagnosis, Mashanda noticed that her local Chick-fil-A was having an event. She decided to surprise the kids and take them for a meal. What happened next was a miracle that stunned the entire family and made Mashanda cry.
