Teen With Down Syndrome Is Escorted To School On His First Day By Group Of Kindhearted Bikers

As Sean Maehrer was preparing for his first day of high school, his family grew concerned that the young teen who has Down syndrome might be teased or bullied. They reached out for help and support on Facebook and word quickly spread about the family’s worry that Sean could get picked on on his first day of school. But they needn’t have worried. Word reached many of the local motorcycle clubs and on the morning of September 1, 2015, a huge group of bikers pulled up to Sean’s driveway.

The neighbors were so surprised that they came out to see what was going on.

The bikers wanted to make sure Sean knew he had friends he could count on. They also wanted to let the students at Sean’s new school know that he had a lot of friends. They also gave Sean one of the coolest escorts to school you can imagine!

The bikers even gave Sean his very own customized motorcycle helmet.

What’s awesome is that the bikers managed to put the whole thing together in just 2 days! And it wasn’t a “one off” visit either. Sean’s new friends continued to meet up with him, attending his soccer games, cheer him on and support him in any way they can.

Share the great thing these guys did with your family and friends!
