Bear Helps Himself to Sweet Spot Behind Ice Cream Parlor Counter
Earlier this month, deputies of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unusual call. An unwanted visitor had entered the Ice Cream Shop at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe and taken up a spot where the staff usually stand.

“The deputies could barely believe their eyes as they saw a large bear behind the counter of the shop,”El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.
Fuzzy, the very large bear, was looking for an early morning snack. And from the looks of it, he was looking quite happy with himself for having sniffed out the creamy desserts. Thankfully, the cafe had not yet opened to the public so no people were around. Still, how were the police supposed to convince the bear to leave such a sweet spot?

“With some encouragement, the bear ultimately left, but only after showing interest in the strawberry ice cream,” the sheriff’s office wrote. Of course a berry flavor would turn out to be a Fuzzy favorite!
Fuzzy turned out to be a respectful enough patron. The sheriff’s office shared, “Thankfully, Fuzzy the bear caused barely any property damage and there was barely any cleanup.”
