From a distance, Jacob Feazel’s patriotic school project looks like any other American flag. But if you get closer to it, you’ll realize it’s made of a unique material, so unique that the teen’s massive flag has gone viral.
The 17-year-old assembled the flag using 4,466 toy soldiers that he spray painted red white and blue. It took him 11 days to assemble them all onto the 4×6 foot base and ensure they were all glued in place. As to why he did it, he told WISH-TV, “The soldiers are what make the U.S. free, you know? They fight for us, so I figured it’s honoring them by putting them in the flag.”
