Adorable Duck Family Crashes Wedding and Leaves Everyone Smiling
There’s often an expectation that no matter how much a couple plans for their wedding, something unexpected is bound to happen on the big day. And for Maggie and Dan, that surprise came with feathers.
As the couple exchanged vows, a group of unexpected wedding crashers made their entrance — a mama duck and her ducklings waddled right down the aisle. At first, Maggie and Dan were completely unaware, focused on their heartfelt moment. But it wasn’t long before the wedding party, and then the couple, noticed their adorable guests, sparking smiles and laughter all around.
The sweet moment was caught on video by The Decatur House in Washington D.C., where the ceremony was held. In the clip, the officiant reacts with a good-natured, “Well, this isn’t nice,” while Dan quipped, “They’re actually our most highly paid vendor,” as the ducks exited stage right.
The rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch. Decatur House shared that, “Aside from the serendipitous duckling wedding crashers, their ceremony also included heartfelt readings, a ring warming ceremony and performance of the ‘Book of Love’ by one of Dan’s groomsmen.”
