Robotic Wedding Cake Features Edible Dancing Gummy Bears and Chocolate-Powered Lights
Have you ever imagined a robotic wedding cake with dancing gummy bears and chocolate-powered batteries? Researchers from EPFL and the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Italian Institute of Technology) did just that. Through a collaboration called the RoboFood project, pastry chefs and food scientists joined forces to create a cake that feels straight out of a science fiction novel.
This groundbreaking creation features two edible robotic gummy bears that dance atop the cake, along with fully comestible, rechargeable chocolate batteries that power LED candles.
The cake will be showcased at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
